Ageod makes fantastic, beautiful games. The turn resolution is the only weak spot, IMHO. I had a lot of trouble in the beginning accepting that I couldn't make any decisions, on the fly, in a 2 week or 1 month resolution period. All orders are given and then must be followed as closely as possible for that many days, etc. All the special orders and postures help alleviate this somewhat, but not totally.
The replay feature is the best thing for giving a player some kind of interaction with what happens, if only to be able watch it unfold. Taking that away turns an otherwise brilliant game into a text based war-game. I'm dumbfounded that a decision was made to remove it. I recently learned that Espana 1936 has the feature, so it's hard to believe that the latest Athena engine can't support it.
