We can't sit around and wait for everyone. Also, I believe nemethand is out until Sunday, so I am not sure if we will get a Spanish turn by then.
PhilThib wrote:OK, then I shall give another 2 hours or so, because I believe George (HOL) can give orders later in the evening. Anyway, at worst it would just be they missing a game's fortnight, nothing crucial right now...not that we would be in a war or some kind of crisis...the AI can take over in simple quiet situations like this..

Also, Belgium has no Annex, Create Protectorate etc. type cards among the Colonial actions. Is this normal?

Some things;
First off, I love the new embassy idea. I think it's an awesome idea and a cool addition to the game. I had one problem though, it seems the Russian embassy in London deactivated itself. At first I thought it was simply because there is no commercial agreement between Russia and Britain, but then I realized I don't think Russia has a commercial agreement with anyone yet and I don't believe any other embassies have been deactivated. I'm not concerned about the prestige, but will a deactivated embassy no longer provide the bonuses to relations? Also, how do you play more embassies?
Secondly, I'm having the same problem with the Russian concession in China deactivating. Another idea that I absolutely love by the way. But will it's effects only be good with a commercial agreement? Is anyone else having these problems?
Fun fact: it wasn't until a little after the time period in our game when European nation's representatives in America were given the full title of "Ambassador." Before then, they were given lesser ranks like 'envoy,' 'diplomat,' or 'minister.' It wasn't so much a slap in the face to America as it was a hard-nosed mindset to refuse to recognize that there could be a forth-coming great power that hadn't originated in Europe.

I've been unusually busy this week, and will likely be next too. However I'll try my best get back to all messages received as soon as I can and will send some of my own too. Please be patient, this is hopefully only a temporary state of affairs, just one with very bad timing.
In the meantime, any messages will be gladly received, concerns, questions, statements of policy etc. Please send a message regarding any issues you may have for the attention of the foreign office and the Foreign Minister and be assured that you will receive a personal reply, either from the Foreign Minister, the Marquess of Salisbury himself or the undersecretary, Lord Connemara.
