I seem to remember when playing this before that some event fires when you capture Frontenac that removes some of the indian tribes from the French side. I took Frontenac several turns ago and so far nothing. Is it a date related event that only fires if Frontenac is taken before a certain date? Or am I having a senior moment and nothing of the sort used to happen.
I'm sure that the replacement transport ships used to be able to be used to replace missing bateaux elements. Now it seems that they can't, they only go to replace missing merchant or transport ship elements.
My Corps of Battoemen don't seem to be building bateaux like they used to either. I think the only instance of them doing so was in my earlier save when I didn't receive a message that they had.
I'm also not sure about the concentrate stacks Ai feature. I am nearing the end of the campaign and have found a large stack in Montreal. There are two very small stacks with perhaps one or two units and a leader and a monster stack of 55 units. The area has been pillaged for ages so this monster stack must be too big to be supported by Montreal. The command penalties can't be good for it either.![]()

I have had units sitting outside structures that do not have any defenders left any more (fort level 1 and city level 1)(I assaulted them), and they are not taking control of them.
There are haplessly sitting idle outside of them, no matter the assault or attack posture, and slowly dying of hunger and cold...
Am I missing something here ?

Ha, that must be the case then thanks.arsan wrote:Are they irregulars?? Indians, rangers, courriers du bois and similar irregular troops cannot take control of cities on regions that are unloyal to their side, even if they are not defended.
They can still assault forts/depots and destroy them, but not towns.
Think of them as raiding parties, not the kind of troops to occupy and control an enemy population.
For that you need some regular troops or having loyal population on the region.
Cheers!
PD: this happens with previous patches too, and on the non COL campaign version. Its like this since always.
Ebbingford wrote:I am playing the full AWI scenario as the British. I have just had the first lot of options appear that allow you to increase the rate of dismissal of the American units. I didn't select any of them. The next turn the following two messages appeared in the log saying that I had announced an amnesty in New England and the Middle States.
Save and backup attached if needed.

It is the light warship "Sphynx", I have 2 of them, both with 3 elements called Sphynx, Ranger and Friendship. They should be showing in my save in the above post if required.

I have also just noticed that when the 17th Light Dragoons turn up the first element is of a light dragoon, but the other 3 are just dragoons, so the icon on the map doesn't look like a light dragoon, but looks like a dragoon.
