Can't wait for this game- Looks terrific. Any updated release date approximation?

Depends if you are at war of not. There is less combat units on average per major nation than there is for AACW, as the scale is higher. As for commerce, you can set transactions to carry on indefinitely. Industrialization? You won't spawn steel mills every turn too ...

Actually this is not handled by events (that would be too scripted) but with a whole new dynamic system of retirements, sudden deaths, provisional leaders lists and whatever is needed

Oh come on - it's a Paradox game - best served with two expansion that will make it a truely epic.

It seems to be scheduled for August like Hoi3 one year ago...so knowing the state of Hoi3 upon release, we just have to praise there isn't a kind of "August Malediction" on Paradox's games.
