Most recent patch?

I am on 1.14c--this thread seems to indicate this is the most recent. Yet my opponent says 1.14d is most recent. Which one is? If it's 1.14d, where do I get it? Or is it not a problem if one of us in on 1.14c and the other on 1.14d? Thanks.

Yes, things are somewhat confusing now, but have a little more patience.
Pocus has said that Monday at most the legacy patch will be out and everything will be clear once more
(until we all start installing mods around )

my plan is just to wait until the final patch comes out and all changes/fixes/additions/quickfixes are done before i get into playing more

AACW2 will hopefully come one day, this was and still is a pretty good game, especially in PBEM. Can't get it all right the first round.

Latest "official" patch is generally linked to the first post in a thread stickied near the top of the Main Forum and has been for the last 2 years.

I know ... I posted the same link above. The problem that confused me and my opponent being that the text says it's 1.14c and the link says 1.14d ....

But no problem. We decided to wait for the next official patch, as I understand from what you say it's going to be the last for a while.

which when downloaded and unpacked contains:

patch_AACW_v1.14d.exe

AT THE MOMENT.

As Gray stated, Pocus exchanges the file behind the link but sometimes forgets to change the text in the thread above the link.

1.14d is a comprehensive patch, which means that is includes the content of all the other previous patches. It also includes the changes presented in Gray's QuickFix6, which was written for the 1.14c patch.

So if you do an install with the original setup_AACW_fren.exe file or from CD and then install patch_AACW_v1.14d.exe on top of that, you will have the latest official version installed.

1.14e is only a beta release for the Spanish version and 1.14f is a beta release for testing the fixed AI for playing against the computer. But Pocus has already stated that 1.14f is not complete and will not be released as an official patch, at least not without some database updates.

I just bought and downloaded the game from the Matrix store. Do they have the latest version, or do I need to patch? (The purchase was on October 29.)

I doubt the game download is fully updated.
You can check your game version by looking at the bottom left corner while loading.
The latest patch is 1.15 and its comprehensive. You can get it here
