However, every time I get hung up during the first turn battle resolution. Battles work fine; however the siege doesnt. I say siege because I have never gotten past the first siege. It does the siege then goes to siege delayed and freezes. nothing ever shows up on the screen that allows me to click to continue the turn. Doesnt matter what siege, sometimes Antwerp sometimes Liege.
I have 2.53 ghz processor dual core 4 GB memory vista business
and I am austria in the 4 person game single player

Good news: Play develops longer.
Bad news: game still freezes after a time, usually in military phase.
Very long times while AI is thinking.
Also, the game crashed here:

Memory leak?
Also: drive e:\progetti
I do not have this directory (it looks Italian!). It is trying to allocate memory to a non-existant location on my PC.
My e: drive is actually my DVD drive location.
So if I guess -this referring to a 'drive e:\progetti' location referance that is somehow coded into the game by mistake? And could this be causing problems?

The time the AI takes to commit forces on the battle screen is too long.
The game played slow with jerky mouse movements and then crashed after I saved the game:

Battles are faster resolved and there is better stability.
