No reports yet.

Try d/l again, as there was an update occurring today and you may have gotten a corrupted version... :(

...or load start WIA and click on "update" in main menu. It worked for me

Major problem for me in a 1776-1783 PBEM campaign vs Hap. I had 97 points in Foreign intervention last turn and it has fallen to 0. :(

What do the new orange and green filters correspond to?

Strategic Cities. [colors will change per faction. see FIW]
Orange = Tory/GBR, Green = USA

The bolder colors are Objective Cities. [Red or Blue in AWI, Red or Grey in FIW]

I've just have a strange thing. During the french-indian campaign the Micmak party had suddenly diseappered on turn1. They fight but I don't see any loss of indian troopers.
So I'm a lit confused about this

If this group has no retreat option by less of region control they 'gain' damages and big damages can kill the group.

naval bombardeament button is missing

Sun Nov 02, 2008 1:51 pm

I,m playing 1775 Scenary with England witch patch 1.02C and now the naval fleets do not have the button of naval bombardment, there appears the button of promotion of personal ,but not that of bombardment.
I think that some file has forgotten , because this mistake already was given in the begin of the game and was solved by the first patches. :tournepas

This has been identified, and a fix is in progress.

A couple of issues to review

Sat Nov 08, 2008 9:12 pm

A)With the patch 102c has gone to see the size of the units themselves or enemy within a city.
Is this so or is it a mistake?

B)In the scenario of 1755 playing with the American side, Bernaldo de Galvez and his army appears in August 1779 but blocked for twelve turns.
In your specific scenario is not blocked, so I understand that it is a mistake that should be reviewed.
Thank you and greetings

B) Spain dclares war 12 months after the French, so Galvez is locked for those 12 months, and 'Spanish regions' remain blocked. The Galvez Scenario assumes that war is already declared.

A) Specific unit information inside structures [as opposed to in region outside a structure) should not be seen. I do not recall it as otherwise before 1.02c...

Hi

Regarding A) question, i'm pretty sure its WAD and works like this on all AGEOD games.
The info you see regarding the enemy units in or outside a structure depends of the detection rating you have on that region.
If you have enough detection points to know the strength of units outside you will have also enough to see the strength of the structure garrison.
If you have low detection rating you will only see the units number or nothing.
Not sure if in 1.02c work or not like this, but on the upcoming 1.02d patch that i have installed as a beta, it works ok: you see strength, unit numbers or nothing depending of your detection point on the region.

Regards!

A couple of issues to review

Sun Nov 09, 2008 2:20 pm

I do not think that you have understood.
A)I am not referring to the composition of the troops, but the size (green circles), both of enemy troops can't see when they are inside the cities(green circles).
Before the patch 1.02C as in the other games of ageod ,if they could see these circles indicate that the size of the troop.

B) Respect Bernaldo of Galvez its good to me to wait twelve months as Spain go to war when you do France
The problem is that Spain is already at war and Galvez is twelve months fixed.
Spanish reinforcements are already active, the spanish land is already active and all units may go inside, even the English troops are besieging New Orleans, but Bernaldo of Galvez is fixed by twelve turns.
I still think they need to be revised both questions. :(
Greetings

Ups! Now i got what you mean! and you are right! The little colored balls are gone form all structures (friendly or enemy)
Haven't noticed it!

Regarding Galvez... the issue is that he is the only one fixed for twelve turns?? the rest of the spanish units can move around?

Regards!

AFAIK, all Spanish troops are locked [or haven't appeared] for at least 12 turns..

If you see otherwise, please report specifically which units, date, etc. and upload a saved game...

OK. Fixed for next patch. :)

Galvez was set to arrive with a probability of 50% per turn after French entry. Thus he sometimes arrives late, and wasn't unlocked soon enough :(

Galvez will now appear as soon as French entry, locked for 12, and will thus unlock at the same time Spain declares war... :D

Thank you for your help finding and fixing this!

I'm not sure if this coincides exactly with the last patch, but I don't see the retreat icon any more in the battle result window; and something else is also puzzling: Since several turns, my forces do retreat after winning their battles, even with very aggressive attitudes. Apparently, I'm not the only one experiencing that (see in the french forum).

Has it something to do with the patch?

Hhmmm. There are some new 'autoretreat' functions being added [see AACW threads]. I wonder if they are in WIA now too?

I think the new logic will force a retreat at some point to avoid ahistorical 'blood baths'...

The 'retreat icon' is working in the pending patch [currently in beta] :)

Thank you for your report. :coeurs:

The new auto-retreat introduced in ACW patch triggers at 20% loss in one day, if I trust the thread you are talking about.
In the campaign I'm currently playing, I have the example of a british force composed mainly of regular infantry and strong of 2400 men fighting canadian militia and coastal arty, well trenched (level 2) but strong of about 800 men.
The british obtains a victory with 250 losses (around 10% of loss), almost 400 for the french (almost 50% loss!).

And the british army retreats... :bonk: , no?

If you could zip your saved game and upload, we'll look at it. :)

Also, all 'Logs' from the turn this battle occurred...

Only need the current turn plus one turn prior [Backup1 subfolder]

Here it is (turn t and turn t-1); It's a multiplayer game and I don't host. I'll mail my opponent, so he can post the log file here.

Earlier in the AACW 1.11* patch series, auto-retreat was bugged, and auto-retreats were happening much too often--i.e., more like when daily losses for one side exceed 10%--far too low. This was the reason that, for a while there, all battles in the AACW 1.11* patch series were single-day only.

The bug was fixed for 1.12, and now auto-retreats are occurring at the advertised 20% losses (and multi-day battles have returned).

I couldn't say if auto-retreat, bugged or fixed, was introduced into WIA.

Woops!

We need the host to post the save game [all files], and the Backup1 subfolder [all files], in addition to the logs folder.. :)

Sorry about the confusion. trn files alone do not help us very much :(
