I am beginning to worry that my old nemesis, NM win, may happen in my CW2 campaign as the Union. It is Jan 1863 and the NM difference is 157 to 30. Does anyone know if the CSA automatically loses at 25 NM like the Union, or (hopefully) is it more like 0 or 5 NM at this stage in the game?
This is my first game with CW2 and the CSA is still putting up a decent fight. They still have good PWR left (52) with two large forces of 3000+ in Virginia and North Carolina so I'm hoping the game lasts quite a bit more as my only naval invasion so far has been New Hannover, NC and I haven't even touched New Orleans.
Just wondering.
No need to reply. After a typically dull early Jan '63 turn resolution where there were only 2 or 3 skirmishes with no NM change, no message that an historical event happened that caused a 10 point NM loss for the CSA, I received a major victory notice because the CSA only had 20 NM. Ironically, they were still leading by about 300 VP and even gaining more VP's per turn (excepting battles) by 57 to 51!
I am supposing that the Emancipation Proclamation event which fired in early Jan '63 must have caused the 10 point NM drop. Oddly, I could have sworn that event fired in Summer of '62 after the capture of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
