Hello, my question is like the title.

For what I need these "Naval Engineers" or better said "Engineers" at all

Naval engineers speed ship repairs on the harbours they are located.
Normal engineers speed entrenching of the stacks they are located.
Cheers!

Naval engineers speed up the repair time for ships in ports.

Engineers speed up the repair of railroads and speed up entrenchment construction. Engineer apparently needs to be with other units to perform either task.

Generals

Thu Aug 28, 2008 11:32 am

My next question, I would like to know (because I don`t understand in tutorial):

Is there a "limit" for generals that command troops. Like:

1 Star general: 2 units

2 Star general: 7 units

and so on..

thankx for the fast answers! :coeurs:

There's no hard limit, but the more stars a general has, the more units can be in his stack without command penalties occurring.

Naval engineers also decrease build times for ships in harbor they are located in.

Warman, I did a test with Naval Engineers and they performed at a 3to1 ratio for ship repairs. Basically, if a ship gets damaged and you put it into a port without a NE it will take 3 times as long for it to repair.

Since there are so many naval engineers available for production, some might say you should attach them to fleets. ;)

Then you'd need at least a brig with every fleet that is to have a fleet engineer :)

No, you don't need engineers to build forts; you need 4 artillery and 2 supply units. More details: http://www.ageod.net/aacwwiki/Fort#Building_a_fort
