Abilities Decoded

Sat Aug 16, 2008 3:20 pm

One of the most difficult DB to understand is Abilities, because the use of the Params varies with each Ability "type"...

Attached is my decoding effort.

Corrections welcome

I was just going after existing ones, modding fields.

With your scheme we can go very far-away!!!!

Yes, I think is very interesting too.

So much so, I downloaded a copy.

But this publication still doesn't fix BoA 1.13d. But maybe it can help...

Any plans for a new patch for BoA, Phil, or should we just roll back if we feel the need. I was just wondering what you thought. I know its long in the tooth.

Have you used the additional notes on the NCP abilities file?

By which you mean that you've added a link there that points here (to avoid any confusion) :)

Yes, that's where most of this came from. :)

The blue ??? are not annotated in NCP, WIA, nor AACW files.

Thanks a lot: just got it!

A note as regard....
May be you did not add this improvement from Pocus?:
Param4 of ability family CommandAdjust, if set to 1, will prevent the ability from working if the leader is not an army commander. Param5 does the same, but with a test on Corps command.
