I still get the French Version.

If I click on the logos running at the top of the screens (ads in English) I also get the french site.
For one grandsire stood with Henry,
On Hanover's Sacred sod,
And the other followed "Harry"
In the Light Horse' foremost squad.
And my grandsires stood together
When the foe at Yorktown fell;
"Stock" like this, against oppression
Could do naught else but REBEL.

There is a menu for selecting country (and bu extension, language) in the upper right corner. You can also go directly to the US pages by browsing to http://www.birth-of-america2.com/ageod/en/ :)

Excellent new look. Very professional.

War in Middle Earth, a strategy game I bought ... wow, some 15 years ago at least!

It was rather buggy with a braindead AI by the way, so much for 'in the past time, games were better!'

I have looked at all three versions (France, European, U.S.) and I was highly impressed with both the aesthetic appearance and the functionality of the site. The person/team who put that together deserves congratulations.

I have noted the trouble some AGEOD fans in Europe had in purchasing WIA during the first few days the site was up, so I cannot speak to that. I.e., living in Lichenstein, trying to buy the game in French Francs or something, but for me in the U.S., I think the website is beautiful.

The default language of http://www.ageod.com appears to be French, which might be the logical choice for a French company. However, since the Studio is aiming at an international audience, it might be worth a thought whether to change the default to US or Europe, because non-French customers might be irritated by the French page.

Irrespectively from this issue, the language switch could be more prominent/eye catching. Maybe adding some flags?

This is a mistake, the old version used to detect your default language (ex: France= french. Germany = English).

I'm reporting this to our webmaster. Thank you

This should now have been fixed.

Please report if you are still faced with a French webpage (and if French is not your first language!)

Cheers,

The language selection on the website does not work. No matter which language it is chosen, the texts are in English. Moreover, the automatic language detection does not work, i.e., when I enter the site it displays the US version instead of the Europe version. :cwboy:

The language/localization you get when you enter the site depend on your browser settings

(E.g. I use en_US, which means I get the US site when I go to http://www.ageod.com)

As for French not appearing when French is selected, I'll get Fabrice to look into it. Thanks for bringing it to our attention :)

It is still not possible to select some languages on agod-website. If you select "French", it jumps back to "United States" as soon as you click a link on the site.

If you select "Europe" or "United Kingdom" it jumps back to "United States" when you click on the "to discover" link in the WIA promotion.
