Histwar™: Les Grognards

The interest for grand tactical Napoleonic Age wargames is always alive:

Battlefront is developing Histwar™: Les Grognards, that seems to offer all we are looking for:

That does not mean we'll have a program allowing to manage both the Grandstrategy & Grandtactical aspects od Napoleonic warfare in a game!

Although promising, Histwar "Les Grognards" is in development for several years now and we don't know what to think about a product in "gestation" for such a long time.
Empire in Arms (Matrix) isn't the best example of a true success although awaited for years also...But I don't want to be too pessimistic.

Jean-Michel Matté is putting the finishing touches to 'Les Grognards'. This is the work of his life so far :) - but he is getting to the end of it!

The ultimate would be to combine such programs into one. A operational map with a tactical component. There is talk in some groups to combine Empire in Arms with the tactical battles taking place using Hist War.
