how to do a couple of modifications?

Sun May 25, 2008 5:36 am

Hi there.

I want to accomplish a couple of modifications to the 1861 april campaign:

1. I want to add the Richmond - and Washington DC Fortifications. As I see it, neither the Union, nor the Confederacy will be able to pay for the necessary supply-wagons and artillery needed to construct the fortifications before July 1861 (in the July campaign, they are allready included)

2. I want to add a depot to Winchester, VA, so that the Shenandoah Force can get up to full strength before the battle of 1st Bull Run. As it is now, the Shenandoah force spawns in the Shenandoah Valley, south of Winchester (allready moded the force to spawn in Winchester), and takes ages to reach full strength, unlike the Army of the Potomac.

Help on these modifications greatly appriciated. :sourcil:

PS: I looked into the July scenario-file and copied the Washington and Richmond fortifications structures and pasted them into the April scenario file, but this created a critical error, saying the number of structures were not as expected, and I couldn't understand the file and where I could mod the expected number of structures :tournepas :p leure:

Hi TeMagic!

Did you modify the scenario file itself (.scn) or the scenario source file (.xls)?

Cheers

Hi TeMagic!

You should not try to modify the compiled scenario files. The source files for the scenarios are available for download in the forum.
Look here: http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?t=5358

You will need the AACW Database and the AGEOD Utilities and docs.

Modifications of scenarios are done like this:
1. Modify the xls-file for the scenario. (Using Open Office or MS Office for example)
2. Export the file as csv.
3. Create a script file using the CSV-Splitter utility
4. Compile the scenario using the game itself and save the new scenario.

More detailed instructions are included in the AGEOD Utilities and docs. :cwboy:

Cheers

burrowing like a mole

O soft embalmer of the still midnight, Shutting with careful fingers and benign Our gloom-pleas'd eyes, embower'd from the light, Enshaded in forgetfulness divine: O soothest Sleep! if so it please thee, close In midst of this thine hymn my willing eyes, Or wait the amen ere thy poppy throws Around my bed its lulling charities. Then save me, or the passed day will shine Upon my pillow, breeding many woes; Save me from curious conscience, that still lords Its strength for darkness, burrowing like a mole; Turn the key deftly in the oiled wards, And seal the hushed casket of my soul.深圳管道疏通疏通排污管道、深圳下水道疏通疏通厕所、载拉污水泥浆及化工废水服务! 本公司专业承接专车吸粪隔油池疏通厕所地毯清洗
