Board registration problem

Mon Mar 31, 2008 10:25 am

I hope this is the right place to post this; my apologies if it isn't, and the moderators should feel free to move this post to a better place. :)

My PBEM opponent, Jim Pfluecke, cannot access these boards. He has apparantely registered a good while ago, and I understand (and hope) he has also completed the registration by activating his account, but he seems unable to access the boards or post. He writes he is getting this error message:

"Jim Pfleck, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. "

Could some kind soul help him solve this problem? I can send his email address if needed, but rather wouldn't want to post it here on the board.

Thanks!! :)

Hi
It seems his account has not been activated. Maybe he had not received the activation email because some spam filter has decided the email was junk. Is pretty common lately :grr:
I´m sure Rafiki will fix it as soon as he sees this post.
Besides, your friend cannot post until activated, but he can send Private Messages.
So he can PM Rafiki to tell him about the problem in case he don't see this post (although i highly doubt it will be necessary :niark: ).
Regards!

His account has been activated and he should now be able to post normally. :)

As Arsan says, we've seen more of this lately, but haven't been able to figure out what is causing this (yet).

For those with such problems, simply notify me about it, with the username (forum nick), and I'll activate the account.

Thanks, Gentlemen. I will tell Jim to try again now. :)
