Yes .......I'll look into it.

Edit:..........
It seems the events "unlock" Lee. So he should actually start locked in Richmond. here is a fix for it.

Patch links from ageod.com

Sun Feb 10, 2008 10:55 pm

Maybe it's just me, but finding a link to the patches from http://www.ageod.com isn't very straight forward. Maybe they can drop a DOWNLOADS or UPDATES button somewhere on the homepage for all of their games? I know there's a tiny link way down on the left, but it's not very apparent.

Either way, Thanks for a great game! I really enjoy it, and the great community that supports it.

We plan to redo the sites in 2008, I agree it is less than ideal.

In the April campaign USA leader Robert Mitchell is doubled. Once as a generic 'R. Mitchell' 3-1-1, and then again as Robert B Mitchell with a portrait. Both appear in 1862.

Sorry, this post can be in the wrong section. I wasn't sure where to put it.

I just updated to 1.09 a week ago. If i'm not wrong, the "move into Richmond or lose 10 NM points" event was changed to "move into virginia or lose 10 NM points". But, even though i move my units into Manassas and take it, i still lose the 10 NM points. I thought Manassas was in Virginia, or not?

Can anybody help me with that?

The event requires you to move adjacent to Richmond with a force. {As I recall, the force needs at least 10 'combat' elements}

Wording is aimd at the history of the event, not the game mechanics...

Took me quite a while to learn this, and I slved the puzzle at about the same time someone posted the answer!!!! :siffle:

Thanks for the quick answer lodilefty. I've never seen that post though.

So is it a good idea to move 10 combat elements adjacent to richmond in the given time so early in the game?

I don't think so :tournepas So losing 10 NM points is quite inevitable.

Yes, the loss is pretty much automatic...as was the history.... At least you have the opportunity to do something about it!

You can amphibiously drop a 10 unit stack from New England in Charles City (or Hanover), try to hold there for a month, then retreat towards Ft Monroe when when Bory unleashes the pain on you. Wise? Maybe not. But it can save you the 10 NM.

Very good point Jabber. I never really thought about that as a way to save those 10 NM. Ok, time for some strategizeing as to who gets the mission.

It seems to me that one of the Mods had "move into Virginia or lose 10 NM". I do not remember which one. The plain vanilla version has the "move into Richmond or lose 10 NM".

If you must, you must. Just remember, the event checks for your troops in the close_to_Richmond meta-area for the next two turns.

Spotsylvania, VA
Caroline, VA
King and Queen, VA
Louisa, VA
Buckingham, VA
Amherst, VA
Appomatox, VA
Henrico, VA
Charles City, VA
New Kent, VA
Prince George, VA

Hey! somehow the Hanover region got left off the list. All the regions around it are part of the area. I was wondering why I lost 10 NM that time.

For me, it's been easier to just remember Wilderness to Petersburg, Appomatox to Tappahannock. I think G_L just moved Petersburg south one region, so soon it will be Wilderness to City Point ... etc. Anyway, you've got to get south of the Rappahannock with 10 units. Tappahannock looks like a better spot for that amphib now.

I checked the dates, too. Early August - Early September. That's why I lost 10 NM that other time.

Hmm, there is a couple of regions in that list that may make this easier than I had previously thought. OK, let me go give that a test flight.

Tagwyn spotted a double Sherman in the West scenario. Seems there was an Event to add him to Grants command. Here is a fix for it.

No, just the "official" 1.09 ( I am the one with a save game incompatibility 1.09 -> 1.09a, as stated in the beta patch thread, and this happened in a ongoing campaign with 1.09)

Hi
The patch comes compressed on a .zip file.
Just download it anywhere you like (on your desktop for example) and then double click in the file and extract the patch .exe file where you want (your desktop again, for example)
Then double click the exe file and follow the instructions.
The installer will point to your game installation folder by default.
Hope it helps!

Jeu en italien

Sat Mar 01, 2008 3:11 pm

bonjour

merci
