Very impressive JF, I think having a face for the generals particularly the lesser known really builds up the immersion as they become more than just a name.

That's the plan, Pocus. Jabberwock and I have already divided the list of remaining generals.

I have a question about Hood. He was only about 32 when the war started, and he was supposed to have blond hair, but Sandra shows him with a black and grey beard. Could we get a Hood with a blond beard?

Sure, Runyan, I could put something together for you.

2/20 edit - Jabberwock and I both created blonde Hoods before we knew what each other was doing! So, you have two choices:

IMO, Hood 1 looks nicer and cleaner, but Hood 2 looks closer to the style of the default leader set, no?

Hood 2 is is just default Hood with a cheap dye job. It didn't take me very long either. ;) I agree with you, I will be using Hood 1.

It might be me, but Hood1 looks a bit old and "super-dignified", don't you think ?

JF, which portrait are you using for your avatar? It reminds me of the guy who portrayed Meade in the movie Gettysburg.

i also vote for Hood 1.

While you guys are at it, is there any chance to correct the colourings for John 'Black Jack' Logan? As his nickname implies, he had black hair and eyes and a swarthy complextion.

Great work.

That's Alexander Hays, who I believe was a division commander at Gettysburg. He does kind of look like the Meade actor!

Double check your Ricketts. The armies file is JBRicketts, and the units file is JRicketts, and I cannot tell if you are updating, or made a mistake.

Mistake. They should've both been JBRicketts. Thx. Fixed. Also removed the thumbs files for a little less weight.

Hi!
It seems there is no unit image for Major on the 62c zip.
It's this intended?

By the way, outstanding work, as usual!! :coeurs: :coeurs:

I've posted the 28 Generals done so far by jackfox. They look great! I will try to get his and mine sorted properly by year in the next day or two, and make it less files to download.

I've updated the files. All the pictures completed so far can be downloaded in three zips (at the top of the thread). Just extract to the ACW folder and you're done.

Recently updated Robert Milroy ('61), his positioning in the unit panel and battle screen was way off, and he had a tiny head (like my avatar ... which will get updated when the vanilla generals are done).

Did someone request a recolored 'Blackjack' Logan, and then remove or edit their post?

Jabber,

It was I who requested a recolouring of Black Jack. I did not alter my post, but no matter...he looks great.

Thanks

Hi

I just installed the 3 new and easy to install zips. :coeurs:
I had noticed something strange with D. Miles.
The Graphics mods seems to change his stats for the worst and add to the leader three bad abilities. The vanilla one was just a generic 3-1-1 :bonk:

I thought this mod was only graphical...
Are those changes intended or just some mistake with mdl file used on the zip.
Regards!

Yes, I noticed some of the model files included full names. I suspect Jabberwock is using model files from the leader mod, which may be different from the stock models in many cases.

If that is the case, it has to be corrected ASAP, of course. This should be only pictures of generals, nothing more, nothing less

Oops! I warned jackfox about not doing that, then did it myself. It will be corrected ASAP.

EDIT: It is fixed.
