Pretty cool if you haven't seen it - shows how the front changed over time and how much of a stalemate it was at least terms of territory until about 1864 or so.

I first saw this display at the Lincoln presidential library in Springfield, IL.

It goes a bit fast, but I think it might be helpful to some people as an aid to understanding the ebb and flow of the war.

Very interesing video for non ACW history buffs like myself. Puts the war into perspective allot more.

Whats interesting is that even during the long periods of activity, they have the 'slow creep' of the territory. Someone must have really done some hard core research about marches and countermarches, calvary raids, etc.
