CSA Blockade Runners out of supply?

Tue Feb 05, 2008 5:49 am

Thanks to all of you I have a pretty good jump into the Grand campaign.

I did come across something that doesn't seem to be covered anywhere and could be so simple I am just overlooking it.

I built a BUNCH of Blockade Runners. But now I am getting a completely out of supply warnings for certain ships in BOTH Blokade boxes (Gulf and Atlantic).

I have checked and my harbors they came from are NOT blockaded so the only thing I can think of is that there is a finite number of Runners you can have at one time in the Blockade boxes.

Is this correct and has anyone figured a way around it yet as its the only thing keeping me in WS.

Thanks!!!!

I think you just have too many to keep supplied at sea, you will have to rotate some back to port.

The is no automatic transport of supply out to the blockade and shipping boxes. You'll need to rotate the units, or at the very least have ships carry new supplies out every now and then.

AFAIK, there is no limit to how many units you can have in the boxes.

There is a game option that allows you to say that units in the shipping/blockade boxes don't consume supplies, but they then operate at slightly less efficiency. Not exactly sure how this applies to blockade runners, but blockade ships get their blockade ratings reduced. Perhaps the blockade runners get their transport capacities reduced?
