Great news! After waiting over a week, I can patch my "virgin" install (I'll do a backup first, just in case) and resume playing again. Thanks!

One more fix. Wait! That was easy. On more fix. I wish I had a sandwich. Is that an array error? Boy I gotta pee! Ah ha! Transposed that! Got it! One more fix...

v109 Error

Thu Jan 31, 2008 12:39 am

Ran into an error running v109 using Vista. When examining the listing of new units placed into production, if you click on the units or the scroll down arrow the game returns a "Sorry Fatal Error" message. Strangely I can use my mouse scroll wheel to scroll up and down. The error only comes when you left click. If you need it I can provide the saved files. I did reload the game to additional time and both reloads also errored.

Will try and post a screen capture later about the VP and Morale (-) I mentioned earlier.

Thanks,

Carl

Gray_Lensman wrote:This might be fixed in the "officialized" version of v1.09 released earlier today as it might be related to the "scroll" error bug for new units that was earlier reported for v1.09 beta 5. I checked for that particular bug in the new official v1.09 and it was fixed.

see the main foruim thread for the "officialized" v1.09.

Just down loaded the official and it works fine.

[quote="Gray_Lensman"]I tried this 3 times (with v1.09 beta 5) and each time was watching the upper left corner, I could see 15 VPs being added and 1 Morale point was added. Then of course there was more turn processing and it ended up with 103 VPs and 87 Morale points for the USA. Where are you seeing this in the Replacements/Reinforcements Screen?

Here is a screenshot of the VP and Morale (-). The game may be counting both correctly. IMHO the way it is displayed on the screen below may be a bit misleading to folks.

I checked back into the listing of fixed reinforcements. It indicated the Utica Militia enters at Utica and not Rochester.

Is there a more up-to-date listing of the fixed reinforcements? The files currently with the game go back to May 2, 2007.

Thanks,

Carl

Duplicate Unit

Thu Jan 31, 2008 2:07 am

In the April 1861 Scenario there are two 1st Ohio Volunteer Brigades that appear in Cincinnati. One becomes active Early June 61. Both have the same elements, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Ohio. Both have the same Col. P. Benjamin commanding.

Sorry about that. Did not think about it being no longer beta. Will do all postings over there. Thanks for the help.
