I played a little last night and am getting some errors In the Trans-Mississippi scenario...... here we go.

Playing as the Union I noticed the AI raising Louisiana militia in Indian territory and in Missouri?
("Units raised in various states").

Then I switched to playing the Confederates and had this Error.

the game crashed and I could not step my way through these errors.
This seems to be an error with "Auto Raise". I could buy reinforcements and they will show up normally. I admit I left the LA militia in the Autoraise section but this has never been a problem before. I only played 3 scenarios and the first two I played dont have Militia raised.(Vicksburg and Atlanta).

I'll test this out some more when I have time.

Edit: It seems the game crashes when you click on the units raised in the info box. (not the units I buy but the Militia autoraised by the computer).

O.K I thought this might be a scenario related problem since when I played the first few turns as the confederates in the grand campaign I double clicked on the "New units raised in various states" and I did Not get the crash.

I then tried it again playing the GC and it crashed. This happens when you click in the info box to see the units raised.

right now I say this is a bug but I'll wait till someone confirms this.
I have 2 computers one with a clean install and the other I use for generating scenarios. This is happening on both computers.

Just to add a thing about the objective bug, notice that in the tooltip there is maybe a hint of the source of the problem. For instance (image attached), playing as CSA, New York is described as "New York, NY, controlled by Confederate States of America (United States of America)". This is somehow reminiscent of the USA Emancipation notification message error that was corrected; maybe something was done to the database references that switched the names of the factions ??

I think that we are all anxiously waiting that Pocus stops playing Wicked Defense and comes back to work... :siffle: :niark:

Man, I haven't played all weekend, I've got a clean install waiting for 1.08e/CFM. Once e is offical, I will still wait a couple of days to see how stable it is. At least there's football. :feu:

I wasn't aware of that... are you sure??

I remember a similar rule for the English on BoA but i don't think it applies to AACW.

For example on the first turns of the april 61 campaign as the CSA you don't have any troops (not even militia) on many objective towns (New Orleans, Nashville, Atlanta, Little Rock...) and on the ledger this towns have your flag (i speak of 1.08 d and previous versions).
I had always thought your were getting victory poits for them :bonk:

This patch has got to be one of the the buggiest ... almost unplayable.

In addition to all that's been mentioned in this thread already, let us not forget that the option to "Regroup" forces in a region is still broken. Actually, it works too well. No matter if it is selected or not, forces regroup after each turn.

Hello all,

I'm back, and I see you discussed much in the meantime :)

Some good news and confirmations:

1 - objective bug. This was just a display bug, and is fixed now.

2 - Recruitment screen with misplaced file. The next one will be final and should be cleaner. I indeed provided you with an half backed screen in this beta patch, sorry for that.

3 - strings missing or bitmap misplaced. Michael (Gray_Lensman) provided me with a little update which should clean the issues.

4 - auto repositionning of group. This new automated thing will be a bit more lenient. I need precise examples if you are presented with an irritating situation on that.

For the rest, the code has not much changed on AI, so I'm surprised by the AI not buying replacements. And I think some of you start to see things :)

I'll issue the next patch as soon as possible, at worst in 24 hours.

(and no I was not playing Wicked Defense, just resting a bit ;) ).

In the scenarion “1861 Coming FURY" and "1862 Struggle for the heartland".
It is in the odd condition that USA posseses Army of North Virginia in the scenario and that CSA is possesing The Potomac Army oppositely.
Please Improve.

It was Lee who changed the name of his army to the Army of Northern Virginia from the Army of the Potomac. likewise McClellan changed the name of his army from the Army of Northern Virginia to the Army of the Potomac.

How many turns into game?

I'm seeing it buy, but I'm only ~5 turns into game..

1.08d, with:
railroad mod, leader mod, my own "no draft mod" [disables mobilization]

Maybe I'm wrong, but don't forget each side is receiving free replacements in the first turns for infantry, cavalry and militia.
