American Civil War has been awarded the gold medal in the Wargame of the Year 2007 election held on UseNet’s War-Historical newsgroup.

Something about the game tickles my neurons. It's one of the best.
I can go to bed with the game in my head and my maps at my side and think sweet thoughts.

My wife also looks at the maps while we are in bed and enjoys joining up the depots which helps me with planning my moves for the next day.
