If you ask me, an easier way to find the newly recruited units is most important. That's what make the game tiresome sometimes.

What would really work for me would be on-screen buttons to replace E, R, T and Y. Everything else is onscreen and mouse-operated, why do we have to shuffle through our units with the keyboard?

I disagree; I find it quite convenient to have my left hand on the keyboard E-R-T-Y'ing and the right hand on the mouse doing the other stuff. Actually, I'd like even more keyboard shortcuts, e.g. for toggling railroad and river movement modes.

OTOH, having both should satisfy everyone? :)

I agree!
Playing AACW with both hands is better :niark:
I think most games use only keys to the cicle units comand. Is faster.

But i will really like the sentry options others mentioned on this thread...
And the clikable "new units" newspress... :siffle:

Looking a bit closer at the "list of newly recruited units"; do people mean when they are constructed, when they become ready for duty, when they are fully cohesive, something else, or all of the above?

Problem: there's a reason my childhood nickname was lefty.....
...I'm just glad for 'sticky keys' :siffle:

on screen and keyboard would be a nice compromise....

edit: Hey folks. Don't be embarrassed or inhibited by my comment. I've lived with this challenge all my life, and it's really not a big deal!

Just found out that the filtering the messages actually give me what I am looking for. Units ready for action was exactly what I missed. Not sure you have to do much really :bonk:

Hello,
If you ask, i would like to have a filter, that filters all units that are placed with the sentry-order. That will show me on the minimap only units without sentry-order and these are the units i have to take care for and not the mass of long term garrisons.

I would go with "when they are ready for duty"...It´s the first time they can actually do something...if you want to wait for full cohesion, that´s the same decision for any other unit not fully cohesive...A newspaper where you can click on the name of the unit a be transported there on the map could do the trick.

Filters Needed!

I vote for a filter that does a quick job of locating "new units available." I do not volunteer to be sacrificed!! t :p apy:
