Currently, the 1.08e in beta test seems suffering from some serious bugs... And the 1.08d appears to deprive AI of any replacement buy. I plan to postpone a little the release of my mod in order to get a fully testable AACW 1.08e version.

Mod is almost ready but I need to do some preliminary tests to be sure there will be no CTD or major bugs in the gameplay.

After reading The Uncivil War: Irregular Warfare In The Upper South, 1861-1865 by Robert R MACKEY, I've added a bunch of bushwackers in the Arkansas.

Incidently, the guy who wrote that book is among the posters here, unless I'm much mistaken :)

a very interesting book, not only factual but proponing through some examples a whole analysis of the "little war" development during the Civil War.

Hey Clovis,
Guess what? I wrote that book :)

I hope you enjoyed it!

I thought Rafiki would expose me lol....

Glad to see the book is of some use. It was a LOT of fun to research!

A very fun book...and really interesting about "little wars" concepts, not only for the Civil War but for the counterinsurgency politics too. I've yet to figure how I can add much to my mod ( Mosby activity being my primary target) but in any case your book is worth reading.

If I was to add anything, it would be making most of NW Arkansas and SW Missouri as much more likely to go pro-Union (higher % of US control). Those regions were filled with Unionists.
