Change in Options and PBEM

Mon Dec 31, 2007 12:14 pm

Hi
I have an ongoing PBEM game, then I have started another one in which I have set different game options, I guessed it would not affect my ongoing PBEM game, however I noticed that the .ord files I send in this game are protected by password, and that was a new game option I selected, so I wonder, do other different game options I selected, like Historical attrition be also now present in my first game?

All the options are dynamic. The bad thing is the problem you have, the good thing is that you can alter them anytime during the course of any games, if you change your mind.
We are comtemplating a new system, within some months, were you would have games profile. They would be dynamics, but for a profile, so you could have several sets for a single game installation. For now you have to duplicate the whole game if you need to have 2 sets of options. Sorry... but hard drive space is cheap ;)

Would the conditions change only in hosted games or even if I am not host in a PBEM game?

depends... if you don't host, then only the Host's choice of attrition, engagement delay and such matters, as these are settings used during hosting. For the ZIP I'm less sure, as the player save the order file on his side...
