Thu Dec 06, 2007 7:14 pm

The USS Cairo and Adm. Porter have been created in Chicago. How do I get them down the mighty mississip?

Here's some elaboration:
The FAQ wrote:Shallow water ships built in the Great Lakes can move into the Mississippi river system through the Ohio and Erie Canal. The canal runs frome Erie, PA through the Meadville and Centre regions, and exits into Shenango Curve on the Ohio River at Franklin, PA. The canal is not functional if the regions it runs through are frozen.

I finally found it but, to be exact, it is impossible to use it directly.
For exemple if you drag the fleet in Detroit (Macomb MI) and try to drop it in Pittsburgh (Westmoreland PA), the game will say "impossible to get to this point" (I play in french so it may not be the exact message)
In order to travel throught the canal you need to put the fleet in Erie then put it in Franklin before being able to reach any city on the Mississippi river and every other rivers that are linked to this river

Yes, you need time to cross the various locks (écluses en français) :sourcil:
