now pointing to 1.08b version:

==============================================================================
AGEod's American Civil War Update 1.08b
December 27th, 2007 to January 2nd, 2008
==============================================================================

Fix for the 1.08b patch:
- Naval battles were no more occuring since 1.08.

Fixes for the 1.08a patch:
- Ledger buttons work as before (reminder: the mouse wheel scrolls the units in the ledger)
- ROE buttons will default to standard when you create a new game.
- If historical attrition is enabled, you can only recover lost elements if on a depot, but you can still recover hits if in any structure.
- Patterson & McClellan events work again.

As long as the patches don't break savegames, you should be safe, oldtimer :)

I don't get this. I had started a full campaign in 1.08a and made it to early December 1863 when 1.08b came out today. I've since played a few more turns in 1.08b with no problems. (It's late February 1864 now.)

I have the leader mod installed,I'm not sure but I think that might have something to do with the crash on saved games after a patch is installed?

May I ask if naval battles are really ok ? (as 1.08b was born as the same time as NCP 1.02e, and that had to be fixed again to 1.02f, I would like to be sure before continuing my game :siffle :)

I applied b, I get battle sounds but not music, this is unmodded.

I forgot to mention that when I applied b I got an error and crashed, RRmod & leader mod was applied, this was with a. Reinstalled, this time I got no music with a, so I checked and had music on, turned off & on and music worked. So I applied b, no music, so turned off/on and is working fine now.

Hey, rest assured that at least with me you have earned infinite tolerance :niark:
If I may, I would only suggest that your past politics of releasing "beta" patches and stating clearly, only after a few days on our hands, which is the official version, is wiser... :innocent:
