Merchandise

Wed Apr 12, 2006 11:44 am

Can anyone explain the importance of merchandise? I can't find anything in the manual.

What is the difference between it being inactive or active? It cannot be moved, even when active, or am I doing something wrong?

I assume this signifies a significant city economy and you cannot move it to protect it??? But I don't understand why it becomes active at points in a game.

Anyone know?

they are just static VP that your opponent can get if he kill them.
They become active if they are involved in a battle but survive the fight. This is a generic rule about how units "unfix", but for merchandises, as they can't move anyway, it doesn't means much.

Sounds like they're worth protecting or capturing? Is the VP value the same or random? Note that you might want to mention in an updated manual. No reference in there now.

This is custom to the Yorktown scenario if I'm not mistaken? This is listed in the scenario summary screen, when you move the mouse over the scenario line.

If its in another scenario, then we should add the information .
