I also saw that the unit are from Conneticut, not California but I guess California dont have regular units avaible for recruiting because I haven't seen anyone so far.

I have found some CA cavalry names that can be used for this cavalry unit. If I mod the file myself would AGEOD be intrested in the file?

I think it might be just as well to provide the names, since it's fairly straight-forward to get such names into the database files. (Those who might be doing the update might disagree though,m since I'm not too familiar with how they work :) )

The unit files have recruitment areas listed for each unit. The models files then have a list of unit names by recruitment areas. So the recruitment areas determine the name of a new unit. Often errors are due to format problems or incorrect area spellings in the recruitment areas listed in the model files.

Events will produce one time units with unique names but they won't appear as recruitable units.

Well the cavalry unit name has in all games I have played been "CA Art C Bty", name suggestions are: "1st Batt'n Native Cavalry (Cal.)", "1st Cav. Cal. Vol's Co's A-D", "2nd Cavalry Cal. Vol's Co. B". I got the names from here: http://sunsite.utk.edu/civil-war/unit1.html and just scroll down to California.
