I am in serious doodoo....My son spilled a 32 oz soda on my notebook today. As you can see if I don't go back and change everything this is how it types now......push 1 key sand get a bunch of letters. I literally have to go back and change every word so it is correct....if I press the following keys this is what i get (not ot mention they are sticky as hell now...)

21 = 1
21 = 2
WQ = W
WQ = Q
SA = A
SA = S
XZ = X
XZ = Z
Tab results in Caps lock and a tab
Caps lock is a tab and caps lock

This is frustrating as hell...it has litterally taken me 15+ mins to type this having to go back and change every damn word....any ideas as to what I can do? I have searched the web and can't find a solution. This is a $2500 laptop sand can't afford to replace it right now....UGH....out of warrenty too

Hi Guru80!

Which laptop model do you use?
In most cases you can remove the single keys from your laptop keyboard and clean the contacts below. Might be a bit tricky however, so be careful not to break something. You can also remove the whole keyboard and look for a replacement.
Or simply buy a cheap usb keyboard. But I guess that's not really a solution.

Cheers
Norbert

Actually using an USB keyboard right now....works great though awkward. I have all the keys off right now and cleaned everything with a Q-Tip and a cleaning solution to remove the stickiness from the Mt. Dew. I can't believe this is still working!! It was popping and smoked but now it works ;-)
