They are very well done, I'm sure most people will love them - I'm just a bit weird!

Many thanks Jab.

Jabberwock,

Are the fixes for the issues with Charles Winder and Felix Zollicoffer and Images Army_CSA_BEBee.png make it into 1.07a or do we have to install these seperately.

Thanks

1.07a updated to 1.07b

1.07b
fixed: Army Stacks were targeted too often in battle.
fixed: City which had a blockaded harbor produced nothing.

It looks like Winder and Zollicoffer fixes were incorporated into 1.07a, but not Bee. I have not tried 1.07b yet.

Updating the patch on a Saturday evening? You shouldn't be doing that, Pocus; people might start thinking that you actually care! :)

I'm still seeing zero supply into Richmond with a blockade with the latest patch (+0) on the screen at the top. I'll wait until it has been updated to 1.07b on the splash screen so I know for sure I have the latest patch.

I can update the files now to put back the supply I lost, but I still get nothing generated by the town region.

Cheers, Chris

Using 1.07b, now, on the beggining of the supply segment part of each turn there appears briefly on the message log one or two messages about "supply rules" (one of them with something about wagons, but they disappear so fast as to be unreadable and impossible to capture on screen); I do not recall seeing them before.

So we still need the graphic pack then to have the most updated general pictures ... I have 1.07b (most recent) ... but a little confused on what else I am supposed to put in there???

Did Pocus not say that the graphic pack was included as of 1.07a ... why would it be out now ... and if it is included why still have the graphic pack there as a update???

There used to be a message about "loading AI master file" or something that may have been switched. Don't know if it's WAD or not, but it doesn't seem to have any effect on the game.

The graphics are included in 1.07b, as far as I can tell

Yes forget about the graphic pack, it is included in the patch (so we went from 14 to 18 mb / patch)

This is an hint, but it times out too fast. I will check that.

It's not to fast for me, but it continues past the info box all the way to the right side of the screen, so I can't read the very end of it. It ends, it can, (can what?).

And here ... Stays in the message box the entire time the AI phase is going on, but I can't read it all as it extends out of the box.

Well that is some font issue that has plagued this game from the beginning for alot of us, as some threads can attest to ... for me the MORALE box goes right off as well ... ofcourse not off the screen but it just doesn't fit in its box. I don't know why a more universal font was not used that simply works for everyone instead of having to fix it by renaming files and complicated downloads.

I don't want to come off all negative ... this is a great game ... with wonderfull depth that has managed to capture the war like no other civil war game before it ... or alot of other wargames period. I am just sorry I didn't find AGEod earlier ... I am very impressed with this work and the continued support of it developers and the cooperation between the developers and the modding community ... again something I have never seen to this extend, and something others should learn from.

Hints

Sun Sep 30, 2007 5:07 pm

I'm only patched to 1.07a, but I get the same hint every turn. If I close the game and restart I will still get the same hint every turn, but it will be different than the hint I used to get.

The morale indication and all important (and even the less important) texts are ok, if you use a 96 DPI setting.

I've been getting the same hint, even after a resart, with 1.07b.

On another note, I've encounter a Kectucky event for the first time. Playing as the Union, the CSA invaded Kectucky which promptly came over to me. About four turns later there was an event switching it to the CSA because the Union had been recruiting troops in Kentucky. I got this event with 1.07a. I haven't gotten that far with 1.07b.

Sorry to contradict you, Pocus friend, but I allways have used the 96 setting, but these new hint messages, although very fast for me, are definitely over the limit of the message window ( I am using a 1440x900 monitor, by the way).
Of course this is not at all important; it is probably a "napoleonic" thing :innocent:

I finally seen a different one, instead of one line that runs the whole screen, why not two lines so it fits in the message box. I need all the hints I can get.

Yes, this one is a left over of an option we are currently building for Napo. They use AACW hints strings though, as we planned to add that to ACW since a long time, and the texts are in the DB since nearly a year!

What I mean is that aside from this unwanted novelty and perhaps some letter there and there slightly longuer than expected, most indications are fitting, and the ones as morale and VP are OK, if you are in 96 DPI. Some people have their PC with a higher setting, and for that there is only a workound, which is to use another set of fonts (or to switch back to 96).
