Division/Corps Commanders

Sat Sep 22, 2007 3:20 pm

Is there any penalty or disadvantage to having a 2** general serve as both Division AND Corps commander? Other than command points. Here is an example:

Jackson has a division, and assumes command of a corps. There are 3 3-2-2 leaders in his corps. Would he be better off disbanding his division and giving he elements to the Div commanders, thus utilizing their skills, or are those troops better off under Jackson, where they enjoy his high ratings as their Corps commander AND their division commander? Kind of counting double?

The troops in Jackson's division will only receive the benefit of having him as their division commander.

Got it, so is there a disadvantage to keeping Jackson as Div/Corps commander, or should his division be disbanded, and elements distributed elsewhere?

The only other disadvantage I can think of is if you wan't to move Jackson, he will move at the speed/weight of the division.

You just have to weigh the benefits that those particular troops would get from having a different division commander with Jackson's corps command bonus.
