Sun Aug 26, 2007 1:15 am

Got tired of playing without it, so I did the necessary update. Enjoy.

This is for AACW v1.06d

I had this same problem initially. Now that you have mentioned it, it is confirmed. Do this:

Delete all files in your Gamedata/Models and Gamedata/Units folders. Install the new files from the Leader Mod.

I don't know where these files come from; they are not part of v1.06d patch that I could tell, and I don't know if they are swaps from the original Leader Mod. I know that I made sure they were not in the ZIP file, so it isn't coming from this one by my hand.

Reload and the game will work fine. It took me forever to figure out what was happening.

Did that. Now I get Tlist Models. G Data container for models definitions
has some discrepancies for UID 683.

  1. Go to your Gamedata/Models folder.
  2. Sort the files by filename
  3. Scroll down to Unit 408 - you will see two unit 408's
  4. Look at the one with the most recent date - memorize this date (should be 15th or something?)
  5. Sort the files by date and look for all files with this specific date - should be eleven files, I believe
  6. Delete (or move to another backup folder) all of those repeat files

I'm getting the error about Unit 408 as well but only have one file in the GameDate/Models folder. I still get the error when I restored my backup files and had to reinstall to get the game to work. Here's a screenshot of the sorted section of my Gamedata/models folder

yep not solvable

Mon Aug 27, 2007 5:19 am

I've tried the suggested means of solving, nothing seems to work. Suggest the mod might have to wait, guys-something weird is going on

Mine works correctly but i needed to proceed like that :
deleted all files in folders units and models and replaced them by these on leader mod . After i put the files of 61 beta graphics . I did like that and at the end it's worked fine . No more 408 uid bug .

It's a file discrepancy that I have no idea where the root is coming from. But as just suggested, completely empty your current Gamedata/Models and Gamedata/Units folders (put them in ZIPs) and install the Leader Mod.

Probably the download installation suggests should include that (completely swapping out your existing models and units folders for new ones). I will spend some time tonight and find out the exact reason of how these files are getting introduced and make some corresponding download directions.

Hancocks original mod told you to delete those folders, they must not overwrite properly. S1

Ahhhh. That's where I screwed up - sorry. I rewrote the install directions but overlooked the part about deleting those folders.

EDIT: I have rewritten the installation directions. Thanks for pointing all of that out, Eugene.

I am not sure, but because of the file difference, I don't know about using the mod enabler for this mod. Doesn't matter to me as I think the mod is superior (I didn't do the work, mind you). But for some it might. Just saying I don't think there is any easy way to utilize the mod enabler without a good number of files changes.

And I'm pretty much done working with this particular mod. I just wanted to get it updated so we could use it.

Yes I agree good mod, thanks for your work. I do have a question for ya though. I'm on a campaign now as confederates (did I mention I love the confederates? laugh) I'm in January 1862. I took washington and my moral only went up a few points, is this due to something in your mod? Just curious as it has always gone up dramatically before. Anyway, atleast I won't win so quick, hehe.

Nothing in the mod would do it. Btw, it's Hancock's mod - not mine.

Doh, can't believe I didn't think of that. That means they were smart enough to do so, they never have before. Thank you,

File that in the burgeoning cabinet file for 'Things that should be announced in the info ledger box'.

Should both be in the message box after a turn has been resolved as well as in the objectives screen of the ledger, IMHO :)

Thanks for the Mod update.

But when I started a new campaign I've encountered a problem with the '61 division generals.

No C. Hamilton but 2 L. Blenker's in late April '61

OK, thanks. I think I've found it. Here's a quick fix - I've fixed the download, too.

Please confirm for me if this solves the problem for you.

PBBoeye,

Thanks for updating the leader mod. My apologies to all for my silence the last several weeks. I have been on extensive business travel, as well as a family vacation in Europe the last 3 weeks. I will return to the USA on Sept. 8th, and hope to pick up where I left off on the leader mod and make further improvements. Sorry that I have not been around. I hope all are well and are having fun with the mod and the game.
