Blinking objects in 1.2 demo

Thu Jul 12, 2007 4:45 pm

Hi all,

I've installed the 1.02 demo and updated my graphics drivers, but I'm experiencing a persistent problem: several screen elements suddenly start blinking. Rivers, regions, and cities will rapidly switch between the proper graphic and the magenta "background" color. Sometimes it will run without problem for a while, then suddenly start up. Selecting a different element changes which elements are blinking. Aside from the blinking, the game runs fine.

I think the machine meets the suggested system requirements. It has an
Intel Extreme Graphics 2 controller, and was purchased in late 2003.

Has anyone experienced this problem? I've searched this board for a similar problem but couldn't find one. I'd loooove to get this game if my machine can handle it! :coeurs:

Can you send me your DxDiag please? To support@ageod.com

This is anyway a problem between the game rendering engine and your video card. I'm unsure I can propose you a work around, if your driver is up to date. We will see...

How do I get you a DxDiag ... I have the blinking as well ... but have not noticed the slowdown ... but I probably just haven't played long enough!

To get the DxDiag file: Click on the Windows Start button, then on Execute. Then type 'DxDiag'. Once you are in the utility, run all the tests, then choose to save the results into a file (on your desktop for example). This is the file I need.
