Battle Results Titles Not Displaying

Thu Aug 16, 2007 8:54 pm

The windows with battle results are not displaying the header with location/date/victory/defeat etc. I installed the fonts from the AACW folder into my Windows directory. I tried both 1.0 and 1.06d with the same result.

Any ideas?

Edit: By the way, I have a ton of RAM (2GB) and Windows XP SP2

Edit 2: They worked in the demo and work in BOA as well.

So you are sure to have added edmunds.ttf in the fonts directory, and it does not work?
In this case, you have to not use this font. There is an alternate fonts.ini file in this case. Open the <your game path>\ACW\GameData, rename fonts.ini to oldfonts.ini, rename verfonts.ini to fonts.ini

There can be a bit of overlap on some texts, but at least you should see everything.

Thanks Pocus! That worked...

But I wanted the "real" fonts, so I uninstalled Edmunds.ttf and reinstalled it. Still no luck.

Then I restarted the PC and it worked. :bonk:

Yes you need to reboot if you add a font in the windows directory. I'm glad the problem is gone :)

Where do you find these fonts to download? Also I am wondering why this worked on the demo ... but no longer on the actual game?

Open the <your game>\ACW\fonts directory, copy all the files you see in your <your windows path>\fonts directory, then reboot your computer.

I did the earlier fix ... renaming it and it works like a champ, also I have not noticed anything overlapping ... thanks!
