Message Log Question

hey!

i'm watching these kinda old vids on YT right now and inside the message log there's different colors and different fonts for things like nation names or in which shipping box some transports went.

i know in CW2 i have this look for the messages as well but not in EAW...?

was this changed sometime ago with a patch or can i change it myself with a switch inside the interface settings .opt-files?

info? help? anything...? please.

Could you post a screenshot of the CW2 feature and of the EAW one you want to change ?

good morning, gents! yep, nikel is spot on! that's what i'm missing in EAW. seems like a font conflict then...? CW2 and EAW on same system but EAW is no go...

screenshots are not a thing on this forum, i guess... third party hosting is not my thing, though. thank you nikel!

If you want faction colors to be displayed in message logs, you will have to remove the below line from userinterface.opt

inoCommonTTColor = 1

sorry, but this switch doesn't do anything in EAW, at least on my install (it's not in my userface.opt). i found this switch already when searching for tooltip color controls here:
viewtopic.php?f=368&t=43363&p=373815
i already run a diff on fonts and msgbar related files from CW2 and EAW - files are the same.

files checked: .ini files in gamedata and guimsg .dfm in frontend... nothing useful.
i'll try on my system side some more - windows problem?

just a small update...

fresh install v1.0.0 has the same 'problem'
checked different windows settings, appearance and font related, but to no avail...
my system is very much tweaked the way i like it best, guess it's based on my setup and that's ok with me.

so... thank you very much!
i will leave things as they are. peace!
