AI strange behaviour sometimes against Forts

Wed Aug 08, 2007 12:19 pm

Am I alone to notice strange assaults made by scattered cavalry against forts?

AI is doing these ill-fated attack several times.

weird! I have the cav raid algorithm supposed to check the power ratio, and it is blatant they should not assault with such forces. Do you have the save around?

Pocus,

I can also confirm that small cavalry units attacking Ft Pickens is a fairly common occurance in my games.

do you have a saved game with a blatant example of suicide, this will be faster for me to check the issue (before battle please!)

these cavalry units are using both evade order and offensive posture. So I guess AI is unable to consider evade order will be sufficient to avoid battle in a region where enemy units are entrenched...
