Pocus, after watching the video posted before Christmas it seems Kingdoms is really coming along, and I am very excited for it. After watching the video I had a few questions.

1) I noticed the long campaign ends at 1274. Does that correspond to any particular event? In other words, how did you choose this particular date as a cutoff?

2) As we know the medieval period didn't end in 1274, so can we assume that this will be an area of future expansion?

3) The map appears to approach modern India. Are there plans to include the far East including China, Japan, and Mongolia?

Hi there,

1274 instead of say 1270 has no specific meaning except to have a campaign last 200 turns. Now, 1270-ish era is on purpose, as it gives a bit of time for the Mongols to rampage through the map, while preserving some 'suspense' for the end game. Will you claim victory or will all be for naught, submerged by the hordes from the east (actually your Legacy will remain...)

We hope to have future extensions indeed, going where/when FOG2M went! It will depend on the success of the base game obviously.

The base game will stop at Tehran, we plan to keep the eastern part for later and it is not really done beyond the graphics in any case.
