I just had Van Dorn removed from the game by the jelous husband event and his entire division went with him. I thought Pocus said that these events had been removed from the game by one of the recent patches. I'm going to go back and start the previous turn and disolve Van Dorns division before he is shot. I really wish I didn't have to do this. BTW, I'm playing the 1.05g patch. I hope Pocus will comment on this and give a clarification. Perhaps I misunderstood. From what I understand It is definately Not Fixed.

Thats what I remember. Guess what....Van Dorn just got removed with the most recent patch, along with his entire division. Seems like getting this game under control is like hearding cats.
I fixed it. I went back in time (like the old time machine movies) and removed all of Van Dorns division units. Once he was removed I created a new division with General Wharton using all those units that were not obliterated this time.
In my current CSA game the Van Dorn event occurred, but he was removed while leaving the 2 cavalry and one horse artillery brigades he was with intact. However, he was not embedded within a brigade or division, which may be where the original problem lay, I forget. The game was running under 1.05f at the time I believe, though I've updated to the latest patch since then.
When Van Dorn and his Division disppeared, he has a division imbedded in Hardees Corp stack at Rolla. When I went back a turn I removed his division from the Corp, disbanded his division so that when he disappeared his units remained behind.
Sure, you can do that. This is not logical that they still activate, but this will fix the problem for now, until we get some time to understand why they return from the grave (the events ).
