Cycle through units?

Sat Jun 18, 2016 9:10 am

Hi,

Is there some way of cycling through newly created units with a similar keyboard shortcut to E/R?
The game does not seem to include all units when cycling through them, even if I remove all sentry commands with Ctrl+S

The whole point is that it's very hard to keep track of what units need to be moved to the front from their recruiting areas.

Not that I know of. There is a section in the mail-box (open the mail-box, click on the icon with the three soldiers to filter only messages having to do with raising troops, etc.) I believe there you will find a line for each just which has just completed training and has unlocked.

Perhaps the reason new units are not showing when you cycle through is they are not yet ready. That is, brand new units cannot move. They take build time, usually a couple of turns, more for naval. Once they are fully built, that is, ready to deploy, you will find them when you cycle through.

Incidently, the W key cycles you though locked units.

Ah, yes, I may have misunderstood the question.

The closest thing you can do to find units which are still in 'training' is to go into the replacements page <F2>. There you will find a list of all units being built, with their build locations. Unfortunately, you cannot click on the units to go to their build locations :( , but the list does tell you how many turns until they will be completed.

They don't show up during their "building phase" and that is fine and working as intended I suppose.
However new units don't show up even when they're finished and movable.
I'll test some more tonight to see if it's only artillery units or if infantry brigades/regiments work the same way.

That doesn't sound right. Newly purchased units will show up in the region where you built them.

Control+W will cycle through locked units, including under construction units. Control+E will cycle through non-locked units even if they are already on the move. Between those two functions you should able to cycle through the entirety of your land forces.
