Opening Big battle (more than 500K men) make the game lag a lot. Really a lot.

An issue easy to reproduce. It is always the case for big battle like this.

Nothing that can be done easily at least, or it would have been optimized.

In my PBEM game, this type of battle happens once a month in 1915...

Battles around 1 millions mens always lag a lot.

They also did a surprinsingly low casualty rate. (I think it is probably due to small frontage + rotation of units in front line due to massive amount of troops).
