End game...

Mon Mar 13, 2006 1:39 pm

Is there something that can be done to speed up the end game? In my 1776 Campaign played as the british, the War was over and the entire seaboard was passified by the time 25 turns was left...literally NOTHING happened at all because there were no continental units or cities/forts held...it was all Union Jack...all I was doing was hitting the next turn button...finally when there were 3 turns left, a medium sized american fleet landed some troops near St. Augustine, but by then, it was too late for them to change the outcome...perhaps once overwhelming victory is achieved, the game will end so that the player doesn't have to sit there doing nothing but hit 'next turn'?

On a final note, after victory is achieved, for how many turns can you keep playing, what is the year that the game actually ends?

Thank you...

on the big campaigns, you have the sudden death rule activated for everybody at start.
When the French declare war, the english sudden death rule is deactivated and they can only win by keeping their objectives till the end of the game (as some more french are coming)

there is no hard coded limit, you can continue playing ad nauseum
