Time/map

Fri Dec 04, 2015 3:20 pm

Hey Guys
I really love the game.
The only think that bit bothers me is the fact that map is bit to small and turns are bit to short.

I loved Rise of PRussia size/time so much - it was elegant and fast, allowing loads of monouver yet easy to play.

What was the reason to move to one week turns with map that does not have that density?

It is jus sometimes fell bit crowded and slow... ( like prussian army at Jena ) :)

Personally I think the weekly turn is a great decision, I would say "a must" for the napoleonic scenario , moreover I find the map quite huge compared to the others Ageod titles and considering WoN map covers a very large area, maybe it's becouse of the smaller regions? But I think it's another good choice...

I felt the same at first ... not least one of the things I hated about the original NCP was the single week turns allied to excessive movement attrition.

You come to appreciate both the province density and the 1 week turns in a major campaign, it seems to capture the nuance of Napoleonic operational movement better than 2 week blocks. Especially where the road net is good, you can move surprisingly fast (till you men are too exhausted), so in a 2 week block you'd need less/bigger provinces.
