Tutorial crashes

Sat Oct 03, 2015 7:57 pm

Just downloaded the game. Everything seems to be okay. Started the first tutorial, but each time I try a game turn to effect movement or a battle, I get an error message and the game crashes. Solution?

Welcome to the forum.

For many people running as an administrator solves this.
If not, if you did not run the installer as an administrator, uninstall and reinstall.
See if either works

I downloaded the game through Steam and don't recall having that option.

I do not know Steam protocol, sorry. Hopefully someone else does or you can check with their helpdesk.

There are two options to run a program as an administrator beyond logging into Windows as the Administrator user, and both of them are Windows options:

1. Give your user account administrator privileges.[SUP]*)[/SUP]

2. Set the CW2.exe program to run as an administrator.
- Navigate to the installation folder.
- Right-click on the CW2.exe file to open the context menu.
- Select the 'Compatibility' tab.
- Select 'Run this program as an administrator' at the bottom of the context menu.

[SUP]*)[/SUP] You should understand the implications of this setting in windows operations before using it.
