Question on setting

Wed Jul 08, 2015 1:04 am

Once I start my campaign with the ai setting +detect +activation and agressiveness can I change it in middle of campaign before end turns?

OR if i quit the game then before loading the save file I change the setting will it take affect on the save file?

Changing the settings will effect whatever game(s) you load up. I'm just not sure if any changes will effect that same turn or come into play after you run the turn.

Settings are stored in the .opt files in the Settings folder. They generally affect thing which occur during turn execution. To the greatest extent any changes you make will show their affect during turn execution.

The great affect which would occur during the turn plot phase --the part where you are actually plotting your moves etc. for the next turn-- would be FOW, I believe, I haven't tested it actually. There might be some settings which would calculate cohesion loss and thus change the number of days to move into some regions.

One thing you must pay attention to is that the settings are game-wide and not per scenario. If you are playing more than one scenario with different setting you must assure that the setting are correct for that scenario before executing a turn.
