waste. The area of your body above your hips and below your rib cage is your
waist. Hence I was jabbing that you should make sure you were using proper English before railing at others for not doing so. It was only a mild jab, hence the smiley.
Well, having a poke at my
waist is certainly not an easy target to miss

There's no need to insult people because they write poorly; you often misspell words, use constructions that are less than clear or submit posts that seem not to have been proofread. Nobody points them out because we know what you mean and perhaps because you are a respected member of the forum. You sometimes pounce on people for not knowing the answer to their own question, even though it's been discussed in the forum. Well, a lot of people are new. If you don't want to repeat your own excellent advice, just don't reply. Newcomers need help, not scorn.

It's an easily confirmed fact that I often enough use the wrong spelling of homophones. I'll not deny that in the least. My frustration with ifailmore's post was not 'poor writing', but a complete lack of effort to write comprehensibly, as evidenced by a text of 85 words, some run together, without a single punctuation mark. This is in my eyes insulting. And you're right. I should just skip over such posts and ignore them, where by when I say "such posts" I honestly cannot remember having read such a post in the forum until now, and I include the many post from non-native English speakers who use incorrect grammar, but still make an honest attempt at being understood. I have not seldom politely requested clarification if I were not certain of their meaning.
If I appear to "pounce" on new gamers for not knowing something, that truly makes me sad. I can only guess that you mean when I say that something has already been discussed in the forum. That is not meant as a "pounce", but as a tip that there is more in the forum to be found on the subject, if one wishes to search for it. I am sure that I also answered the poster's question in addition to my misunderstood hint.
I appreciate these critiques greatly and will take them to heart.
I apologizes for my previous caustic posts and the misunderstandings I have caused.
