Leaders in the Units/Forces Atlas

Sun Nov 16, 2014 11:27 pm

Before I forget again, with patch level 1.05RC1, the Leaders sort by their last names now, which makes it much easier to find the one you're looking for

Now if they just had a column to sort seniority by... :innocent:

In other words (or picture in this case):

Click the bi-directional arrow to switch to unit view, then click the first of the two star icons with the dotted red x through it, (the one above the third column, it is hard to see that it is selected) and you will get all the leaders listed by name (rather than by unit name, which is what you will get if you click on the other gold star with the dotted x).

I am still using 1.04, so my leaders page is sorted by first name rather than last name like in 1.05RC1.

The problem isn't that a leader page isn't available, the problem is that it is so confusing which filters you need to click to get it. Why the heck are there two pairs of filters that use the same icons, for god's sake!?

No, the problem is that none of the information that is important is there. Just listing the names of the generals isn't terribly helpful.
As far as I can tell, none of the people posting here are new. Most of us have just as much experience, if not (much) more, with the AGE engine, then either of you. Less condescension would be nice.

I'm really not sure how you two could even post this with a straight face.
Blind fanboyism doesn't help anyone.

What information do you think is important? I would like to be able to sort by rank, for example, and as Orso mentioned, seniority would be convenient too.

The issue is, as I stated rather tongue in cheek, is that the most important aspect of leaders, which I have ever used the Ledger/Atlas for, has been their seniority. This existed in AACW, but the list could at that time only be sorted by 'first names', which wasn't terribly helpful if one were searching for specific leader and didn't know the leader's first name.

You might find it "fanboyism" to be pleased that some advancement has been made, but you've been on the forums longer than I and ought to know by now that changes come in small steps and not leaps and bounds. Every advancement helps, even if they're not the ones one might personally wish for.

Both you and I would like to have the seniority listed in the Atlas and sortable. Hell, I'd like to have seniority be only unique so that there are no leaders with the exact same seniority on top of that. But being angry will not change anything, and nor will accusing anybody of "blind fanboyism". Think about it.
