The artist just restarted monday, after having her flat inundated. So I guess it will need several weeks to be completed. Big IRL intrusion as you see, sorry for the delay.

Don't worry, I am sure we are getting closer each hour. :)
Actually I think the pictures are a nice addition but not that incredibly important. Philippe&Philippe are busy improving the game constantly and I am sure the graphic artist is hard-working as well. So I just relax and look forward to the things to come... :)

Has anyone thought to utilize the two books: Generals in Gray and Generals in Blue? They have pictures (or sketches) of every general to serve in both armies.

A few years ago, I had scanned them all and created my own database, complete with a beautiful ante-bellum picture box with the copper circle and velvet on the other half where their names and ranks were displayed...but Hurricane Katrina got about 21 feet higher than my computer and back up disks, and I lost it all. :p leure: (along with 186 Civil War Books and over 100 issues of Civil Times Illustrated and other mags, plus lots of era memorabilia) :p leure: :p leure: :p leure: Can I borrow a hanky?

I know this seems like teasing, but I would have happily donated it AGEOD for their great efforts with AACW.

These two books also provide short bio's of their lives and military careers that would make perfect references for your purposes.

IMHO, these books are not just good references... they are THE reference. All research on civil war generals begins with these two books. :sourcil:

Oooops! That first link was to the paperback version... sorry. :bonk:
