Game settings (Options and Parameters) suggestion?

I know absolutely nothing about what settings to choose for a good game. Could some kind souls please give me a run down of the best settings for a good, realistic, game, please?

Things I have no idea what to select:

Delayed Commitment
Foreign Entry
Historical Attrition
Automated Replacements
Activation Rule
Naval Boxes Handling
Extended Pool
AI Detect Bonus (this tooltip says to play at low detect bonus for optimal AI play)
Aggression Bonus (this tooltip says to play at medium detect bonus for optimal AI play?!? Contradictory tooltips!! What is best?)

Ask if these make no sense:
Delayed commitment - medium
Foreign Entry - historical
Attrition - historical
Automated Replacements - off
Activation - medium if AI - Veteran if pbem'
Naval - historical that is default
Extended pool - no, do not use

Not sure on AI settings. Depend upon the challenge you seek.

Thank you, Durk. Could you please explain what the Foreign Entry option means?

This is a guess based upon Civil War 2, I have not yet played enough to know how it plays in this game. It is the probability of non-engaged nations to join the war.

Foreign Entry is not used in To End All Wars, it most likely is on the options screen as a remnant from CW2, we will look at removing it in one of the initial patches. For the time being, it can be set to any value, it does not have an effect.
