Potential for another PoN-like game?

Thu Jul 24, 2014 4:13 am

So I bought PoN two weeks ago and I've been having fun (despite the bugs and turn load waiting time). I was curious if anyone at AGEOD ever considered doing a grand strategy game taking place from 1755 to 1850?

My dream of how such a game could be is to have two grand campaigns, the first starting in 1775, allowing you to play the British, U.S., Royalist France, Prussia, Russia, Ottomans, Austria, and Spain. The second campaign start would be in 1800, the playable factions being the same. The game would allow you to play through such events like the American Revolution, Napoleonic Wars, The War of 1812, The Industrial Revolution, the Central and South American revolutions, and later on the Mexican-American War and revolutions of 1848.

If something like this was to be made then I would definitely buy it. :)

It would be an interesting game indeed, covering this period you mention, although it's not my main focus of study in history (as a researcher, the period covered by PoN is more in my field), I'd like to play a game like that as well. But I guess the developpers team is very busy at the moment to think of such a release in a near future, nad by the way PoN itself still needs some attention regarding its latest patch, so I think that this could only be possible in the future.

Cheers. :)
