Build time, queues and regions

Fri Jun 06, 2014 12:16 am

G'day guys,

For NEW unit construction (builds):
  • Does the elapsed time for a build vary, if multiple units are built in the same region? ie
  • Or, no - a unit's elapsed build time is fixed, regardless of how many and what type of units are being built simultaneously in the same region?

To follow up,
  • I do understand that you can only build certain units in selected regions where pre-conditions are met (ie artillery need war supplies, ships need shipyards, infantry have specific regions they can be raised in?)
  • Does artillery build quicker if the region has a better production of war supplies
  • Do ships build quicker where there are better shipyards, and/or naval engineers.

Thanks guys

Don

For new construction, build time is fixed. Whatever you have for build times is what you get.

Summary: You can only build units in regions which support the build, there is no additional time added for more builds, better production does not affect builds, and ships are no different.

However... for ships, the naval engineers in conjunction with a shipyard will dramatically reduce the repair time of naval units.

Not quite always! It can run a turn long and under some conditions they cannot be finished.
